Level 2 Powerboat Handling

Power Boat 2 follows on from what was learned in Power Boat 1 and develops on boat handling skills.

This two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at plaining speed, and collision regulations. 

The course costs £180 and includes tuition, fuel and course book.

Any member of TSA can apply to SHQ for funding which covers 33% of their cost, provided it leads to a permit.

Leaders outside LSC they can apply for a further 33% from their districts and 33% from their groups.
